LHC GRANTS STAY ON LAHORE MASTER PLAN 2050 | Pakistan New Updates 10.01.2023

  LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday issued an injunction on the Lahore Master Plan 2050, halting construction work on the project indefinitely. Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi approved the Lahore Master  Plan 2050 while  presiding over the eighth meeting of the LDA Governing Body on  December 21.   During today's proceedings، The government's representative lawyer told the  court that the provincial government launched the Narrator Urban Project  under the Lahore Master Plan 2050 to protect the provincial capital from  environmental pollution ۔ The petitioner requested that the court order the government to take steps to  prevent environmental pollution ۔ He called on the court to stop illegal  construction under the pretext of the Lahore Master Plan ۔ Lahore High Court issued a notice to the Punjab government, the Chief  Secretary, and other parties before postponing the proceedings for two weeks.   On December 22, Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court ex

 In Lahore the increase the vacation from 9 January to 15 January because in the extension of winter, the parents demanded to the government of Punjab to increase the winter vacation. According to this, the government announced the winter is extended.The Punjab government increase the vacation by one week due to the order of the court due to smog. This notification is issued by the Health department of Punjab Earlier the vacations were supposed to end on January 2. The notification further said that the clinical students working on rotations will continue discharging their duties in the hospitals. Earlier on December 27, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered to extend of winter vacations for one more week amid the increasing threat of smog. The orders were passed by the LHC while hearing the petitions moved for seeking the remedy to address the smog issue.
